| Coordination of disability rehab efforts
BMS CareConnex™ Disability Case Management (DCM) module is designed for employers with self-insured short and/or long term disability plans. DCM ensures timely clinical intervention and expedited care for all eligible disability claimants, minimizing the impact of a non-work related disease or illness. Our case managers help to coordinate the efforts of the employee’s physician providers and any available and applicable rehabilitation services, thereby assisting the employee in returning to a healthy, productive life, both at work and at home, and reducing costly delays in recovery.
Partnership with existing RTW programs
BMS CareConnex™ recognizes that many employers with self-insured disability plans have implemented their own successful Return-to-Work (RTW) programs. Our DCM staff, in conjunction with senior BMS management, will develop customized procedures to integrate and coordinate efforts with any existing employer-sponsored RTW program. When a successful program exists, our effort will be focused upon supporting the core goals of that program, through the introduction or improved clinical resources, technology, and claims adjudication.

Experienced staff and evidence-based criteria
BMS CareConnex™ DCM staff members are Certified Case Managers with experience in worker’s compensation and occupational rehabilitation. In addition to drawing upon their years of experience, our DCM clinical staff utilizes Pressley Reed disability duration criteria and may, if needed, consult with one of many independent, board certified specialists regarding a specific disability case. |
